Originally from a rural property in the Adelaide Hills, Dr. Heidi moved to the Gold Coast to pursue her passion for dentistry, living locally in Palm Beach during her studies at Griffith.
After graduating in 2013, she completed a graduate program with QLD Health in Brisbane, gaining valuable experience in general dentistry. Her adventurous spirit—fuelled by a love for downhill mountain biking, hiking, and snowboarding—then led her to Whistler, Canada, a world-renowned ski resort town.
During her decade in Whistler, Dr. Heidi not only grew her expertise as a dentist but also grew her family. She met her Canadian husband on her first Sunday in Whistler, and together they embraced the adventure of parenthood, welcoming their four children amidst the stunning mountain landscape. Being a mum, she is confident with children and has extensive experience using nitrous oxide (happy gas) to help calm nervous kids (and grown ups too)!
Balancing outdoor adventures, personal hobbies, and mum life, Dr. Heidi developed extensive experience in emergency and trauma dentistry. She regularly treated multiple emergencies and dental trauma cases a day, from mountain biking to skiing accidents to wisdom tooth pain. Over the years, she has attended relevant courses and managed hundreds of these cases, sharpening her skills and confidence in managing complex dental emergencies with precision and care.
In recent years, Dr. Heidi has deepened her expertise through advanced training. She completed a residency at the world-renowned Dawson Academy in North Carolina and Florida, focusing on aesthetics, full-mouth rehabilitation, occlusion (bite), and TMJ (jaw joint and muscle) pain relief, management and restoration. She is also pursuing a Masters in Aesthetic Dentistry at the prestigious Kings College in London, UK.
Dr. Heidi is a certified Invisalign provider and a proud member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). She is passionate about designing and creating smiles that are not only beautiful and natural-looking but also comfortable and functionally stable for the long term.

The exact moment that I decided I wanted to become a dentist was…
As a late teen, I initially began studying Medicine, but I quickly realized the lifestyle I envisioned for my future family didn’t align with the demands of being a doctor. During a year of reflection, I discovered dentistry, and it ticked all the boxes: a fulfilling career that blends health science and creativity, opportunities to make a genuine difference, and a work-life balance that fits my goals as a mum and avid traveller.
What I love most about my job…
So much! Dentistry is an amazing combination of art, science, and people. I love that it’s collaborative and fosters a team environment whilst allowing me to pursue my individual professional goals. It’s procedurally diverse which keeps my day interesting, and demands fine attention to detail which I love working with my hands. It also offers the opportunity to genuinely make a difference in someone’s life which is incredibly rewarding.
If I wasn’t a dentist, I would be…
An airline pilot! I have a deep love for all things aviation and am currently partway through earning my private pilot’s license. One day, I hope to fly float planes just for fun!
My favourite type of dental treatment is…
I enjoy both sides of restorative dentistry, in saving heavily broken down, unfavourable teeth. Using modern biomimetic bonding techniques, where in the past we would have struggled. And In restoring and improving aesthetics using minimally invasive dentistry and our ABC approach to give patients the smile they’ve always wanted.
I’m also passionate about orthodontics, especially using Invisalign, along with full mouth rehabilitation and aesthetic treatments utilising veneers and crowns. I also really appreciate the timeless quality of gold restorations, which, when done well, can last a lifetime.
My favourite thing to do on the Gold Coast in my spare time…
Spending time with my husband and our four young children! We love family adventures, whether it’s exploring the creeks around Palmy or visiting Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. When I do get spare “me time,” I enjoy running around Burleigh National Park, making sourdough bread, cross-stitching and sewing, wakeboarding, sharing a glass of red wine with my hubby, or dreaming up interior design and renovation ideas.
