Prior to pursuing his lifelong interest in dentistry, he completed a Bachelor of Business Management and enjoyed a successful career spanning 10 years in the IT corporate world, working with business executives from a wide range of industry sectors.
After completing his Bachelor of Dental Health Science and Master of Dentistry from Griffith University, Dr. David enjoys all areas of general dentistry from paediatrics to periodontics and is passionate about helping people achieve their oral health goals. He has worked in both private and public dental settings and is dedicated to providing the highest quality evidence-based dental care possible. Dr. David’s gentle and caring approach can help even the most anxious of patients feel comfortable at the dentist, and he strives to partner with his patients by empowering them with the knowledge of how to best do their part well beyond their time in the dental chair.
In his downtime, he loves to travel and stays active by taking full advantage of the Gold Coast lifestyle, you might catch him on any one of our beautiful beaches, with his lovely wife and miniature dachshund (Zoe).

The exact moment that I decided I wanted to become a dentist was…
I remember it clearly, as it was such a big decision to back myself and change career paths. After having such an established career in IT, it was a difficult decision at the time but I’m so happy I made it.
I have always had an interest in healthcare, but particularly dentistry, as you can often help your patients yourself then and there, and see the difference you have made to their oral health straight away.
What I love most about my job…
My patients, I have had the pleasure of building some great relationships with my patients. Dentistry allows you to make an impact to the lives of every patient that sits in the big chair.
My favourite type of treatment…
Generally, I enjoy all areas of dentistry but if I had to pick one, I would say oral surgery. Despite spending most of my time striving to save teeth and practicing minimal invasive dentistry, there still is a place and certain satisfaction you get from having removed the source of patient’s pain or infection.
If I wasn’t a dentist, I would be…
That’s easy, I’d probably be in a cushy managerial role, climbing the corporate ladder!
My favourite thing to do on the Gold Coast in my spare time…
The big 3 gym, spa, sauna, as well as hitting one of the many beaches the coast has to offer.
