Dr. Jure Rus is the principal dentist of Oasis Dental Ljubljana – Slovenia, our first international practice and he is now a proud member of our Oasis Dental Team in Broadbeach. Dr. Jure believes in the importance of a holistic approach to patient care. He believes that only through this approach can optimal care be ensured, and the best results achieved. The oral cavity is a complex system that must function uniformly to meet all aesthetic and functional requirements.
Perfectionism and patient care drive Dr. Jure to continuously expand his knowledge. This, combined with the use of the latest dental technology, enables him to provide the best possible care for his patients.
Dr. Jure’s areas of expertise are Preventive Dentistry, Dental Diseases and Endodontics, Periodontology, Surgery, Prosthetics, Implant Dentistry and Aesthetic Dentistry
In 2016, Dr. Jure graduated with honours from the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana, earning the title of Doctor of Dental Medicine. Immediately after obtaining his license, he started working in private practice.
In 2021, as part of the master’s program at UniCamillus University in Rome, he enhanced his knowledge in the field of surgery and dental implants. In January 2022, he successfully passed the final exam, presented his thesis, and earned the title of “University Master in Oral Implantology.”
As a certified Invisalign® Dentist, Dr. Jure integrates extensive knowledge in aesthetic dentistry with orthodontic movements, leading to excellent results and satisfied patients.
Dr. Jure has furthered his expertise in aesthetic dentistry with AFD certified training on the use of botulinum toxin and hyaluronic fillers to enhance facial aesthetics.
He completed the Platelet Rich Fibrin Intensive Course, Advanced-PRF & Injectable-PRF with Dr. Choukroun, the inventor of the PRF concept, in Switzerland. As a certified provider, Dr. Jure offers PRF technology to patients as part of various surgical procedures.
In addition to his dental career, Dr. Jure is also a licensed pilot and a powerlifter, demonstrating his dedication to excellence and precision in all aspects of his life.

The exact moment that I decided I wanted to become a dentist was…
Well, I hated going to the dentist when I was a child and becoming one was definitely not something on my mind. The closer I got to graduation the more intrigued I was by medicine. In Slovenia, after graduating from secondary school and passing the national knowledge examination, we apply directly to the faculties. The Faculty of Medicine offers two different programmes: Medicine and Dental Medicine. Out of the two, dentistry seemed like a more interesting mix of theoretical knowledge and various skills one puts to use when helping patients.
What I love most about my job is…
That I can completely change a patient’s perception of dentistry. The dentistry I and Oasis Dental provide is completely different to the dentistry I hated when I was younger. It is an awesome profession in the field of medicine, constantly evolving and keeping you on your toes.

Complete smile makeovers with or without dental implants! As a dentist, in cases like these, you have to have a broad knowledge of modern dental techniques and procedures… and you have to execute them to perfection.

My favourite thing to do in my spare time.
I compete in powerlifting and weight training is something that takes up a lot of my spare time. I am also a pilot and flying a small GA airplane is something that I love to do. Moving to the Gold Coast means a lot of completely new scenery and I cannot wait to hop in the plane and explore.
