The exact moment that I decided I wanted to become a dentist was…
Growing up in Canada I had always wanted to be a professional ice hockey player, but after some years of semi-professional hockey I realised that my skills would be better suited to healthcare. Dentistry allowed me to provide care to a local community, build relationships with patients, work in a team environment, and use practical skills in a meaningful way.
What I love most about my job is…
Helping patients improve their oral health and confidence. Supporting patients in restoring function and aesthetics can have a meaningful impact on their overall wellbeing.
My favourite type of dental treatment is…
Dental implants. They can be used in a range of situations, from replacing a single missing tooth to supporting multiple teeth or stabilising dentures. Treatment suitability and outcomes vary depending on individual circumstances.
If I wasn’t a dentist, I would be…
If I wasn’t practising dentistry, I would likely be a kitesurf instructor in summer and a ski instructor in winter.
My favourite thing to do on the Northern Rivers in my spare time is…
I enjoy kitesurfing and surfing with my wife, as well as spending time outdoors and relaxing with friends.
