Akiyo Kleeman is one of our highly experienced Oral Health Therapists here at Oasis Dental Studio on the Gold Coast. Akiyo completed her Bachelor of Health Science in Oral Health at University of Queensland in 2005. She feels very blessed to have found a career she is so passionate about.

During her high school years at All Saints, her careers councillor found her a weekend and school holiday job as a Dental Assistant and has since been in the industry for 20 years.

Akiyo has had many years of experience with treating patients with severe gag reflex and dental anxiety or phobia. She aims to make patients feel comfortable during their regular dental visits and hopes to turn it into a visit that patients look forward to.

Her qualifications allow her to provide dental treatment for children up to the age of 18 years old. Her main focus is to assist in patients keeping their teeth healthy for life, detecting and treating gum disease, providing oral hygiene instruction and giving dental advice.

Her skills can also help with making sports mouth guards, night guards, orthodontic retainers, whitening take home trays and in chair ZOOM! teeth whitening.

Gold Coast has been Akiyo’s home for over 30 years, looking back she has had a fabulous time growing up here on the coast, now raising a young family with two beautiful greyhounds.
