Patients are advised to wear the aligners 20-22 hours per day to help facilitate the straightening process. Treatment times can vary from about six months, up to about 24 months, depending on your circumstances.
What are the Reasons for Invisalign® treatment?
There are a number of reasons why patients may consider using Invisalign® clear aligners. However, the most common reasons talked about by our patients are comfort, the removable nature, and cosmetic appearance.
Comfort
The plastic aligners are created from moulds of your teeth. They are made of smooth, clear plastic to help minimise uncomfortable rubbing, which can occur from the metal in traditional braces.
Cosmetic appearance
The aligners are made of a clear plastic, which reduces their visibility when worn.
Removable
Invisalign® clear aligners are not fixed to your teeth. As such, they can be removed for cleaning, making them more hygienic, and easy to maintain. You are also able to remove the aligners for a special occasion if you feel more comfortable without them. Just be sure to pop them back in as soon as you’re done.
